WOODBURY – Charles E. Cronin Sr., age 87, of Woodbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Waterbury Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Annie (Bartlett) Cronin.
Charles was born on May 13, 1936, in Waterbury, the son of the late Simon and Frances (Plant) Cronin. He attended local schools and was the Founder of C&C Hydraulics, Inc. He loved to raise honeybees, play the guitar, and spread cheer delivering sweet treats to family and friends. Charles will be missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his wife Annie, are his children Charles (Lisa), Tammy (Bruce), Joseph (Jen), David, grandchildren; Amber, Tyler, Jacqueline, Josh, Chelsea (Ian), Timothy (Paula), Emily, Brooke, Nicole, Blake, great grandchildren; Madison, Landon, Logan, Carter, Jordyn. His special nieces; Melissa, Joelyne, Amanda, Heather. He was predeceased by his brother, Gil Cronin.
Funeral services for Charles will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville, CT at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New North Cemetery, Woodbury Cemetery Association. Relatives and friends may visit with the Cronin family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Alzheimer Association at https://act.alz.org/ .
