Charles was born in Palmer, Massachusetts, the son of the late Antonio and Joanna (DosAnjos Ferreira) Pedro. He attended Leavenworth High School in Waterbury and enlisted with the U.S. Marines Corp in 1945 where he served for two years before being honorably discharged. Charles and Rose married in 1955. Shortly thereafter they bought the Del-Mae Luncheonette in downtown Waterbury. infectious smile. He was a theater enthusiast where he directed, produced and acted in many productions in community theater including The Oakville Players and Waterbury Civic Theater.
