WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and grief that the family of Charles "Chuck"
Squatriglia Sr., age 79, of Waterbury, announce his passing on Wednesday, January 10,
2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted
husband of Joan (McCarthy) Squatriglia for 56 wonderful years.
Chuck was born on August 8, 1944 in Waterbury, the son of the late Edward and Mary
(Lestorti) Squatriglia. He graduated from Croft High School, proudly served our country
in the Army Reserves and then went on to work in the family business, Les Care
Kitchens for most of his life. Chuck had a passion for car racing and Harley's. He spent
much of his spare time throughout the years working with the Membrino and DGR
racing teams. His 1961 Harley Davidson was his pride and joy. Spending time with his
family and friends was very important to Chuck and he will be deeply missed by all who
were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, besides his wife, are his children; Lynn
Squatriglia (Claudia), and CJ Squatriglia (Kathy), and his grandchildren: Hailey and
Sophia Squatriglia whom he was very proud of. He also leaves his sister, Patricia Pfurr
(Richard), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Chuck was predeceased by not only his parents but his brother, Ronald Squatriglia.
Funeral services for Mr Squatriglia will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
He will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Casey's Eastside Memorial
Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury has been
honored to assist the Squatriglia family during this difficult time.. To honor Chuck's
