WATERBURY - Christina Eileen (Soto) Castro age 34 of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the wife of Joseph Castro.
Christina was born April 10th 1985 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Edwin and Elba (Martinez) Soto. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and received her AB Bachelor's Degree from Bay Path University in MA. Christina spent the past several years as the Manager of the Financial Department at Pratt and Whitney. Christina was an avid animal lover and loved her four dogs; Meisha, Bobo, Lady and Waffles as if they were her own children She always had a beautiful warm smile that lit up the room every time she walked in and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memories and honor Christina's love and legacy besides her husband of 3 years, Joseph Castro and her parents; Edwin Soto and his wife, Elba of Waterbury, her sister, Melanie Straut and her husband, Joshua of FL. as well as her paternal grandmother, Herenia Soto of Waterbury and Maternal Grandmother Maria Martinez of Tarpon Springs, FL. as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins other extended family members and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Castro held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT 06705. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Spring Lake Rd Waterbury.
