WATERBURY- Christine N. (Nirka) Bennett age 63 of Joy Road died May 16, 2008 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington after a brief illness. She was the wife of Richard R. Bennett.
Christine was born April 10, 1945 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Philip and Mary (Snowden) Nirka and lived in Waterbury most of her life.
Besides her husband of 45 years of Waterbury, she leaves a son Richard R. Bennett Jr. of Waterbury, two daughters Diane Converse of Ohio, Nancy Lynn Bennett of Waterbury, two brothers John "Jack" Nirka of Fl, Neil Nirka of Waterbury, five sisters Helen Gladu, Maryann Margison, Irene Yarosh, Margaret Worden and Jane Simaitis all of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews.
