OAKVILLE -Christine "Crissy" L. (Overbaugh) Donorfio, age 43 of Oakville, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mays Hospital. She was the wife of Steven Donorfio.
Crissy was born February 18, 1973 in Waterbury, the daughter of David J. Overbaugh Sr. of Watertown and Lynn (Simons) Marinaro of Oakville. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Watertown High School. She was a Special Pricing Analyst at the Siemon Corp., prior to her illness. Crissy was someone who always put those in her life, ahead of herself. Most of all, she was a loving and caring Mom to her two boys, a devoted wife to Steven, a daughter of whom her parents could not be prouder and a loving sister. Crissy loved to spend time at the beach. Any time spent with family and friends made her the happiest. She was always ready, willing and able to be there for anyone who needed her help. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville.
Besides her husband and parents, Crissy leaves the pride and joy of her life, her sons, Joseph and Tyler, her brothers; David J. Overbaugh Jr. (Tracy) of Oakville and Jeffrey Overbaugh (Jennifer) of Watertown, her fraternal grandmother, Frances Overbaugh of Morris, her maternal grandfather, Peter Simons of North Carolina, her stepmom, Margaret and stepfather, Robert, her stepmother and father-in-law, William and Barbara Donorfio of Waterbury, her mother-in-law, Elaine (Smart) Cote her stepbrother, Christopher (Paula) Marinaro and many close friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to acknowledge and thank, Drs. Sabbath and Housman and the staff at Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center as well as the Staff at Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Marys Hospital for the wonderful care, compassion and love they shared with Crissy during her illness.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Donorfio will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Crissy's family on Thursday morning from 8:00 till 10:00 a.m. at the church.
