Miracle Child
TORRINGTON- Christopher John Iosa, age 38, formerly of Waterbury, beloved son of Anthony R. Iosa of Wolcott and the late Theresa (Strileckis) Iosa, passed away on December 15, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.
Christopher was born in Waterbury on February 16, 1984. He was diagnosed with multiple disabilities at an early age and was not expected to live very long but he was tough and persevered for 38 years. He graduated from Wilby High School in 2005 and attended the day program at LARC of Torrington. He had a special way of communicating with his family and loved holding his toys, good food, and saying “NO”.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy along with his father, Anthony, of Wolcott are his brother, Anthony M. Iosa, of Oakville, his sister, Jackelyn A. Iosa, two nephews, Guiseppe and Giovanni Nelson, two nieces, Gianna and Gabriella Nelson all of Middleburg, FL, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Christopher’s family would like to thank the staff of the Oak Unit in Torrington for taking care of Christopher like he was family over the past 20 years.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, in Calvary cemetery, at 1:00 p.m. Casey’s Eastside Memorial, 1987 East Main St. in Waterbury is honored to serve Christopher and his family during this difficult time.
