Ms. Claire Marie Ouellette DeBellis, age 87, of Upland & Rancho Cucamonga California, passed away on Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at her residence in Valencia Commons.
Claire was born on March 2nd, 1930 in Waterbury Connecticut, to Rosario S. Ouellette and Antoinette Heroux, both of Waterbury by way of Quebec Canada. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John J. DeBellis Sr., her parents, her sisters Blanche Ouellette, Dorothy Casey, Gertrude Pryor, and her brother Thomas Ouellette.
She is survived by her sister Rachel Mitchell and brother Richard Ouellette M.M., as well as her son John DeBellis Jr. and his wife, Vivian of Rancho Cucamonga, her daughter Antoinette (Toni) and her husband David Reilly of Fountain Valley, and her other daughter Andrea and her husband Raymond Lau of Saugus. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Marie DeBellis Zamora and her husband Rick, Jason DeBellis and his wife Victoria, Connor and Kyle Reilly and Alyssa and Kiara Lau, as well as her great granddaughter, Violette DeBellis and many nieces and nephews.
Claire was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and worked for San Antonio Hospital in Upland CA for about 30 years. She was a parishioner at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Upland where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling, opera, reading, card games, crossword puzzles, and family gatherings.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at 5pm, followed by a rosary at 7pm at Stone Funeral Home 355 East 9th Street, Upland, CA. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 7th, 2017 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, located at 877 North Campus Ave., in Upland. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. Memorial donations in remembrance of Claire may be made to Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, P.O.
