WATERBURY CT Mrs. Claire (Bucci) Doucette, age 85 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017 with her family by her side at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Marys Hospital. She was the widow of Roland Doucette.
Mrs. Doucette was born on April 16, 1932 in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Patsy and Mary (Cronin) Bucci. She was educated in New Jersey and worked for many years in local factories and as a Food Service Worker at St.Marys Hospital prior to her retirement. Claire was a devout Christian and was devoted to her family especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the casino and especially enjoyed bingo. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and all who knew and loved her.
Among her survivors are her children; her son, Roland Doucette Jr of Waterbury and her daughter, Yvonne Santamaria and her husband, Thomas also of Waterbury, her grandchildren Thomas M and Erica L. Santamaria of Waterbury and her brother, Frank Bucci of Lyndenhurst NJ. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Bucci and her sister, Edith Graziano.
Funeral services for Mrs. Doucette will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St.@ Southmayd Rd Waterbury to St. Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
