WATERBURY - Mrs. Confesora Rodriguez age 70, of East Main St Waterbury, passed awayon Friday September 6th 2013 at Saint Mary's Hospital Vitas Unit surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was the widow of Juan Villanueva
Mrs. Rodriguez was born March 10th 1943 in Aguada Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Maria Soto-Mendoza. She moved to the Waterbury area in 1973 and worked as an assembler at General DataComm for several years prior to her retirement. Confesora was devoted to her family and was always happiest when surrounded by them, especially her children.
Among her survivors are her children; Juan Villanueva, Efrain Villanueva, Edwin Rosa, Luis Rosa, Jose Mojica Jr., Maria Rivera-Villanueva, Carmen Villanueva, Teresa Rodriguez-Villanueva, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, as well as several nephews and nieces. She is pre-deceased by her son, Hector M. Villanueva.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rodriguez will be held on Tuesday September 10th at 10:00am at Eastside Memorial, "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Rites of Committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends and relatives may visit with Confesora's family at Iglesia-Casa del Perdon at 32 ½ Walnut St. Waterbury, Monday evening, September 9th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
