NAUGATUCK - Constantine "Gus" Cocoltchos, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14th 2019 at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven, CT. He was the beloved husband of Patricia E. Cocoltchos for over 50 years.
Constantine was born on July 6, 1946 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Antonia and Nicholas Cocoltchos. He was a graduate of Wilby High School. After High school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served three years active duty, and one year in the Reserve. He worked afterwards as a register computer technician. He enjoyed telling jokes, fishing, long walks, listening to music, working on puzzles, cooking and always had a smile on his face. Most of all, Gus loved his family and enjoyed spending his time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Gus will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to remember, cherish and honor Gus' love and legacy, besides his wife are his children; Laura Mikolajko and her husband, Robb, Lindsay Mayhue and her husband, Jason, Gayle Fernandes and her husband, Paulo and Andrew Cocoltchos and his wife, Rachel. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren; Aidan, Adison, Gabriella, Liliana, Logan, Leo and Jax. His sister, Vicky Perrone & family and his brother, Christopher Cocoltchos and his wife Susan, sister in-law, Barbara Koltos and family. Gus was predeceased by his brother, Epaminondas Phillip Koltos.
The family would like to extend their personal and sincere thanks to all the staff, doctors and nurses at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven, CT. Special thanks to Dr. Lin, Dr. Kumar and 3rd Floor CLC Hospice wing, and thank you to the Fisher House for all their support and compassion.
Visitation hours for Mr. Cocoltchos will be held on Thursday, September 19th, 2019 from 8am-11am at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @Southmayd Rd., Waterbury. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Full military honors for Mr. Cocoltchos will be accorded at the funeral home at the conclusion of the services. To honor Gus' memory, donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to The VA Connecticut Healthcare System, or the Fisher House in West Haven.
