Watertown: Cosimo Pannofino, age 80, of Neill Dr. Watertown, died peacefully Monday, September 17, 2007 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Carmela Pannofino.
Mr. Pannofino was born on January 13, 1927 in Cristernino Italy, the son of the late Francesco and Carmela (Colucci) Pannofino. He was educated in Italy, came to the United States in 1976 and was employed locally at Waterbury Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. He also worked part time at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Mr. Pannofino was a good natured gentleman who was always full of life. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown.
Besides his wife, Mr. Pannofino is survived by a son, Franco Pannofino and his wife Kelly of Watertown and a daughter Carmela Hejazi and her husband Jamal of Salt Lake City Utah, a sister, Gaitana Albanese of Italy and 5 loving grandsons; Patsy and Martino Guerrera, Andre Hejazi, Frankie and Nicholas Pannofino who will miss him very much, a nephew Franco Albanese and his wife Antonella and many dear friends and family.
Funeral Services for Mr. Pannofino will be held on Thursday September 20, 2007 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church 534 Main St Watertown at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main Street Oakville has been entrusted with arrangements.
