Daniel J. Kaminsky, 67, of Thomaston, CT died November 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT of cancer. Born on April 10, 1948 in Waterbury, he was the son of Norine (Ashe) Kaminsky and Edward J. Kaminsky. Dan attended St. Margaret School and Crosby High School in Waterbury. He also attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, where he majored in English. Dan held different jobs, but retired several years ago from being a copy editor at a book publisher in Danbury, CT. He lived in Thomaston, CT for over 30 years, where he made many friends through memberships in the American Legion, the Freemasons, and the Liederkranz Men's Club. Dan loved to read and collect books. His favorite teams were the Boston Red Sox and the Denver Broncos.

Dan was an only child and had no children. He is survived by 1 uncle and 4 cousins on his mother's side, as well as many friends. Dan was buried with his parents in the Kaminsky family plot at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705.

There will be a small memorial luncheon for Dan's family and friends on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion - Post 22, 211 Elm Street, Thomaston, CT 06787.
