WATERBURY - Daniel A. Thomas Age 79 of Waterbury passed away June 9, 2017. At the West Haven VA Medical Center after an extended illness he was the husband of Patricia (Monaco) Thomas.
Daniel was born March 26, 1938 in Derby, CT the son of the late Andrew and Sophie (Wylonis) Thomas. He was raised in Ansonia and was a graduate of Ansonia High School before proudly serving with the US Navy from 1955 to 1959. Daniel was a talented golfer and taught the game at various clubs and institutions throughout the state. He was also an avid sports fan and could always be found listening to a game on the radio regardless of season.
Among his survivors are his children Scott Thomas and his wife, Jennifer, of Middleton, MA. and Janine Altamirano and her husband, Cesar of Middlebury, Ct. He is also survived by his sister Irene Marak of AZ and his four grandchildren Emma, Evan, Noah and Katherine
