Harley Davidson Enthusiast and proud Marine
WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of David F. Estevens, age 74, of Waterbury, shares news of his peaceful passing on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Torres) Estevens.
David was born in Yuba City, California on January 25, 1951, the son of the late Abel and Maria (Lavado) Estevens. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps and David was a Maintenance Mechanic for various companies. David was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast which provided him that great feeling of the free road. He was a past member of the Western Connecticut Chapter of Harley Owners Group. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved cooking especially Omaha Steaks and his “red rice” dish. He was a respected member and past president of The Chase Rifle & Pistol Association in Waterbury. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his loving family. His legacy will live on through the stories he told, the lessons he taught, and the love that he shared. His life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of his family and his faith and the honor of serving his country. May he find eternal rest and peace beyond measure and may he never, ever be forgotten.
In addition to his devoted wife, Maria of 50+ years, David leaves behind his son, Jason Estevens of Waterbury, his granddaughter, Jada, his brother-in-law, Benjamin Torres of Winchester Center, CT, and his nephew, Michael Estevens and his wife Heather of Springhill, Florida.
