August 15, 1967 — October 17, 2022

Waterbury – David M. Fama, age 55, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband to his loving wife Maria (Dauphinais) Fama for the past 35 years.

David was born in Waterbury on August 15, 1967, to the late Rosario Fama and Joan (Blinn) Tartarelli. He was a Waterbury resident all his life and grew up in the Willow Street area where he met and made lifelong friends. David worked as a carpenter, which he was very skilled at, until his health made him unable to work. He loved reading, writing, listening to music, and watching movies with his wife. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his growing family and friends. He was a RedSox fan and an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved watching all the games with his family. He loved fishing with his daughter and his son, but above all, he loved his grandchildren more than anything.

David made sacrifices for his health and family and achieved 5 years sobriety which made his friends and family very proud.

Left to honor and cherish his memory along with his wife and mother are his stepfather; Donald Tartarelli, his daughter; Brandee Cruz and her husband Jonny, Brandee’s children; Trinity, Jason, Logan, Hailee, Cody, Zachary, Autumn, Leviathan and Liliana, his son; David Jr., David Jr.’s children; Michael, Alexia, Ellie, and David the third, his stepson; Matthew Dauphinais and Matthew’s daughter; Lyra, his sisters; Judi Janiszewski, Teresa Daddona and her husband Francis, and Laura Stephanofsky, his brothers; Dan Fama, Tom Fama and his wife Kim, his step brother; Dino Tartarelli, his step sister; Dina Ungieheier and her husband John, and many many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
