NAUGATCUK - David J. Marsh age 73, of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly at Waterbury Hospital on Monday, January 17, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Van Horn) Marsh.

David was born September 14th 1948 in Milford, CT, the son of the late Harry Clifford and Maureen (Purtell) Marsh Jr. He was raised in Milford and was a graduate of Johnathan Law High School. He then joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Alaska as an Air Traffic Controller and then Montana during the Vietnam war era. After arriving home, David spent many years working as a manager at Baker Shoe store and then spent 35 years as a production supervisor at R.C. Bigelow in Fairfield until his retirement in 2019. David enjoyed duckpin bowling at his family's bowling alley in Devon where he also had his first job in the family business, fishing and watching classic black and white movies. There was nothing more important to David than his family especially his grandchildren, whom he was extremely proud of and was always happiest while spending time with them.

Clifford Marsh III, as well as his brothers in law William Van Horn of Winter Harbor, ME and Thomas Van Horn and his wife Doreen of Hamden. David and Linda were very proud grandparents of their 7 grandchildren that meant the world to them: Gina, Anthony, Alyssa, Jasmine, Nicolas, Danica, and Elena.
