THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF DAVID G. MBOROKI
WATERBURY - David G. Mboroki age 67 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29th 2018 at the Masonic Home of Wallingford surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a courageous three year battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Fredah Gatobu.
David was born April 15th 1950 in Kenya, Africa, the son of the late Jeremiah Mboroki and Priscilla (Nkirote) Mboroki of Kenya, Africa. He was raised in Kenya where he was educated and worked as a technician for many years before immigrating to the United States in 2005. Although David had physically left Kenya, part of him still remained there and he always enjoyed traveling there to visit his family and friends. David enjoyed watching television to stay up to date on current US and foreign affairs and was an avid reader. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Fredah, of 40 years, David is survived by his children: Lucy Kinya and her husband, Gichuru of Kenya, Linet Araka and her husband, Paul of Kenya, Lloyd Gatobu and his wife, Nikki of CA., Juliet Gatobu of TX, and Michael Gatobu of Waterbury. David also leaves behind his mother, four brothers, four sisters and his eight grandchildren, Lilian, Emily, Boniface, Evans, Bridgitte, Mya, Nathan and Olive as well as many other extended family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Mboroki will be held on Saturday April 7th at 12:00 noon at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with David's family on Saturday morning from 11:00am until the time of the service at 12:00 at the funeral home.
