AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - David P. Parlato Jr., 38, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly on January 16, 2011.
Born March 15, 1972 in Waterbury, Dave was the beloved son of David P. Parlato Sr. and the late Eleanor (Furlong) Parlato. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and the University of Connecticut. Dave earned his certified public accountant license in 1996 and was employed as a CPA at Deloitte, an assistant vice president at GE Capital Commercial Finance, and most recently, as a corporate tax analyst for the Internal Revenue Service. Unassuming, calm and gentle by nature, with a storyteller's soul, Dave was a keen observer of people and a friend to all he met.
Besides his father, Dave is survived by his sister, Janet Parlato and her husband, Richard Peronace of Cheshire, his two nieces, Lauren and Leah Peronace, several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and many friends.
Funeral Service for Mr. Parlato will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St Waterbury at 9:30am. Those planning to attend are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury on Friday January 21,2011 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Memorial donations in David Parlato's memory may be made to the Saint Francis Xavier School Development Fund, 605 Baldwin St., Waterbury, CT 06706.
