“Local Tax Preparer and devoted family man”
OAKVILLE – David H. Quadrato, age 73, of Oakville passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on Tuesday April 11, 2023 after an extended illness. He was the husband of the late Kathleen (Butler) Quadrato.
Dave was born June 7, 1949 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Frank and Betty Jane (Bradshaw) Quadrato. He was a graduate of the Watertown High School class of 1967 and a well-known member of the community as an accountant providing income tax preparation and filing services as well as bookkeeping to a plethora of people and businesses in town and around the state. Dave was a true “workaholic” making sure that all of his client’s needs were tended to at all times. If he wasn’t busy working, he would enjoy taking time to watch a Red Sox game or taking a trip to the casinos. Dave was exceptional in almost every way, but he excelled the most at being a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his priority throughout his life however, he worked hard, even until his final days, to try to provide for them. He will leave a noticeable emptiness in the lives of his family, clients and all who simply knew him from “around town”.
Dave was predeceased by his wife and soul mate, Kathleen (Butler) Quadrato, his brothers, Frank Quadrato, and twins Gary and Glen Quadrato. He leaves behind a large family to grieve his passing, honor his legacy and cherish his memory, including his three sons, David H. Quadrato Jr and his wife, Sarah (Boilard Izzi) Quadrato of Watertown, Christopher Quadrato of Oakville and Keith Quadrato and his wife, Heather (Mauriello) Quadrato of Watertown; his brothers, Steven Quadrato and his wife, Robin (Rogers) Quadrato of Southington and Lou Quadrato of Watertown; his beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth Quadrato and her partner Joshua Gaspar of Rhode Island, Brittany (Quadrato) Sargent and her husband, Colton Sargent of Virginia, David H. Quadrato III of Wolcott, Keith Acuna, Sierra Izzi and Rowan Quadrato all of Watertown; his great grandchildren, Bryson and Amelia Gaspar, both of Rhode Island and Baby Sargent, due August 2023, of Virginia. Dave also leaves behind countless cousins, nieces and nephews as well as his step-mother Beverly (Hallock) Quadrato and many sisters and brothers in law.
