THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF DAWN DIVITO

TERRYVILLE Dawn (Clampett) DiVito, age 49, of Terryville, passed away peacefully at Saint Raphaels's Hospital in New Haven on June 5th, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous16 year battle with breast cancer.

Dawn was born in Waterbury, CT on December 16th, 1970 and was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1989. Her career began at the Waterbury Department of Education and after 13 years, her passion for family and her battle against cancer, naturally led Dawn to join the family business, Lighthouse Medical Equipment.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband and partner in her battle, Marc DiVito. Her love and dedication to her daughters; Kayla and Brianna, was unwavering. Her immediate family was complete with her faithful stepson, Marc Jr. Her close knit family is led by Dawn's loving parents, John and Patricia Noel Clampett who never left Dawn's side and assisted her in every possible way, her in-laws, Peggy DiVito, who cooked endless meals throughout Dawn's battle and (predeceased) Gregory "Pops" DiVito whose bond with Dawn deepened while working alongside her at Lighthouse Medical Equipment. She was devoted to her siblings, and in-laws; John Clampett Jr., Charles Clampett, Kimberly Thomas, Amy Pasquella, James Clampett, Gregory DiVito Jr., Daniel DiVito, Katherine DiVito, their spouses, her many nieces and nephews and her pups Yodee & Max.

The DiVito family would like to thank Dawn's caregiver, her mother, Patricia, for the many years of help and devotion she provided to Dawn as only a mother can. In addition, they would like to express their gratitude to countless friends and family who have supported Dawn and her family through the years. Lastly, we would like to thank the staff at the Harold Leever Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital for their persistence.

Dawn was a kind and gentle soul whose passing has caused a tremendous loss for her family and friends. Her high school yearbook quotation was "Cherish yesterday, dream of tomorrow, but live today". We can all honor Dawn by following in her path with these words.
A gravesides service for Dawn will be held on Friday, June 12th 2020 at 10:00 a.m at Mount Olivet Cemetery Platt Rd. Watertown. The O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville has been honored to assist the DiVito family during this difficult time.
