THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF DEB CORKINDALE
EAST HARTFORD - Deborah F. Corkindale age 66 of East Hartford, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6th 2018 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Debbie was born August 24th, 1951 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Dorothy N. (Kenyon) and William Corkindale Jr. After graduating from Wilby High School, she went on to earn her B.A. in English at UCONN and her M.S. in Psychology at Capella University. Debbie spent over 30 years working in the IT sector as a computer consultant and was the owner of Horizons Counseling, where she worked as a behavioral psychotherapist. She was the past president & webmaster for the Astrological Society of CT, served as a board member of the Center for Progressive Therapies, and was also a proud foster home parent for the CT Humane Society and supporter of Small Paws Rescue in East Hartford. Debbie will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Among her survivors are her son, Theodore W. Wright of East Hartford and her daughter, Jean D. Wright of Middlebury. She is also survived by her brother, William M. Corkindale III and his wife, Mary Rose and their children, William IV & Joseph Corkindale of Naugatuck; her sister, Heather Fontaine and her husband, Stephen and their daughter, Lily of Prospect. In addition, she was well loved by her Aunt, Catherine Holczer, her dear friends, Kathy Kenyon and Lee McKernan, nine cousins, her fur baby Sally the Schnoodle, as well as many close friends and extended family.
A Memorial Gathering for Ms. Corkindale will be held on Monday, June 11th 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. To honor Deb's memory and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Small Paws Rescue at Small Paws® Rescue Inc. 3316 S. 72nd. W. Ave.
