WATERBURY – Deborah “Debbie” Lynn (O’Donnell) Sabia, age 67, of Waterbury passed away
at Saint Mary’s Hospital on Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Mark W.
Sabia.
Debbie was born April 25, 1955, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Neil and Mary J
(Griffin) O’Donnell. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and then went on to graduate
from UConn, where she was an active member of Alpha Sigma Lambda. Debbie’s happy place
was spending time on the beach at Old Lyme, enjoying her beverage of choice, which was
Coors Light, and spa days with her daughter. Christmas Eve was Debbie’s favorite day of the
year. She was known for her sense of humor, her selfless nature, and having her door always
open. Nothing was more important to Debbie than her family; her husband was her rock, her
brother Kevin was her best friend and of course her grandson, was the light of her life. Debbie
was unique in so many ways, she made the world a better place for all of us, and we are all
blessed and thankful to have had her in our lives.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband Mark, are her daughter;
Kristy L. Martinez and her husband Eric, her son, Ray J. Agrinzone II, her grandson Marcus
Tollens, and her stepson, Mark J. Sabia. She also leaves her brothers’ Kevin and Neil
O’Donnell, sister-in-law, Susan O’Donnell, and uncle, Patrick Griffin, along with cousins,
extended family and friends. Besides her parents Debbie was predeceased by many aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Susan O’Donnell who provided
extraordinary care and comfort during Debbie’s battle with cancer.
