AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - WATERBURY CT. Ms. Debra Swartz, age 64, of Hitchcock Rd Waterbury, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 11, 2010 at her home.
Ms. Swartz was born February 27th 1946, the daughter of the late Willard and Marian (Duffy) Swartz. Debra attended Notre Dame Academy and Croft High School and graduated from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor's degree in English. She spent many years working as a librarian for the Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury until her retirement in 1996. She was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Church and enjoyed traveling, photography and was a loyal member of the Red Sox Nation.
She is survived by her sister, Lauren Rose and her husband Robert of Centerville MD, as well as several cousins.
Funeral Services for Ms. Swartz will be held on Friday, October 15th, 2010 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd. at 10:30 AM. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at church. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St on Thursday from 5 till 7pm.
