THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF DENISE (COTE) EASTWOOD

Devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and sister

WATERBURY - Denise Cote Eastwood, loving wife, mother of three, and grandmother of six, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Denise was born on February 21, 1955, in Waterbury to Ralph Cote and Doris Anctil Cote. She attended Waterbury schools and graduated from Crosby High School, Class of 1973. Soon after, she married the love of her life, William Eastwood, with whom she raised a son and two daughters. She was employed by North East Transportation for 25 years, until her retirement in 2018. Denise had a passion for gardening. She found great satisfaction in cultivating and harvesting a cornucopia of vegetables, and she found great glee in turning them over to her husband to create delicious dishes. Some of her happiest days were spent kayaking and fishing at their cottage on Amston Lake. Denise was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 201. She was a true nature lover and had a beautiful collection of butterflies. Most of all, she was known for her kind spirit, her infectious laugh, and her quick wit.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Cote, and is survived by her mother, Doris Anctil of Waterbury, her husband, William Eastwood of Waterbury, her son, William Eastwood, Jr. (Michelle) of Glastonbury, and her two daughters, Jennifer Eastwood of Waterbury, and Michele (Marc) DiPietro of Waterbury. She also leaves to remember her, her three brothers, Wayne (Susan) Cote of Waterbury, Mark (Michele) Cote of Portland, and Scott (Patty) Cote of Oakville. Denise and William were blessed with 6 grandchildren who were the joys of her life; Ryan Eastwood and Emma Eastwood of Glastonbury, and Damiahn DiPietro, Ethan DiPietro, Gabriel DiPietro, and Nora DiPietro of Waterbury. She also leaves several extended family members and nieces and nephews who will miss her wonderful sense of humor.
