Mr. Dennis H. Corcoran

Devoted to his family and to those in need 

WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Dennis Howard Corcoran, age 63, announce his passing on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at West Haven VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Claudette L. Corcoran. 

Dennis was born on December 8th, 1960, in Winthrop, MA, the son of the late William J. Corcoran and Marilyn Burr Corcoran Beacham. Dennis proudly served his country with the United States Army from 1978 until his honorable discharge in 1982. Dennis worked as a Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service and following his retirement, he continued to stay busy and loved to lend a helping hand to anyone that was in need. He was a proud, dedicated member and deacon of the Hopeville Church, a United Church of Christ Congregation and would help in their food pantry whenever he could. He was a caregiver to anyone that needed assistance, especially to his mother and Aunt in -law. Dennis was a devoted husband and loved every memory he shared with his loving wife, Claudette. 

Besides Dennis’s wife Claudette and his mother, Marilyn, Dennis is survived by his siblings; William B. Corcoran and his wife, Margaret of Bristol and Bridget E. Corcoran- Adams and her husband, Troy of West Haven, his brothers in law: Kevin Johnston and his wife, Theresa of Marion and Mark Johnston and his wife, Cathy of Waterbury, many nieces, nephews, grand nephews, 1 great- grand niece and many loving friends. 

Funeral services for Mr. Corcoran will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT 06705. Military honors will be accorded to Mr. Corcoran immediately following the service. Relatives and friends may visit with the Corcoran family on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service begins at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
