WATERBURY - Ms. Diane Antonios Hayes, age 50 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, February 9th 2016. She was the former wife of Steven Hayes of East Haven.

Diane was born July 22nd 1965 in Manchester CT, the daughter of Ibrahim "Al" and Lila (Ammari) Antonios. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and spent several years working as a nurses aide in the Waterbury area before dedicating herself to raising her daughter, Alexis. Diane had an extreme soft spot in her heart for animals and was an avid supporter of fostering and rescuing dogs in need. She will always be remembered for her loving, caring, and giving personality and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Besides her parents of Waterbury and her former husband, Diane is survived by her daughter, Alexis Hayes of East Haven, her siblings; Joseph Antonios, and his wife, Gina of Middlebury, Mark Antonios, and his wife, Maria of Randolph, MA, Patrick Antonios, and his wife, Jennifer of Waterbury and Susann Buonomo, and her husband Domenic of Wolcott. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Joseph, Gloria, Domenic Jr, Olivia, Mark Jr, Payton and Naomi as well as her faithful companion Oscar.

Funeral services for Ms. Antonios Hayes will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury at 10:30 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
