WATERTOWN - Diane M. Grant, age 62, of Watertown passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was the loving wife of Robert Grant.
Diane was born January 18, 1955 the daughter of the late Bronis and Laurianne (Laliberte) Sharkis. She was a graduate of Kennedy high School as well as Saint Mary's School of Nursing where she received her nursing degree. Diane worked for several medical practices in the area and helped to establish several research programs. She also worked for several area nursing homes as well. She will always be remember by her family and friends for her loving and caring nature sense of humor and strength of character.
Besides her husband Rob of 33 years, Diane is survived by her siblings David Sharkis and his wife, Cheryl of Waterbury, Steven Sharkis and his wife, Robin of Tolland, and Theresa Bolduc and her husband, Douglas of Terryville, her brother in laws Thomas Grant and his wife Susan of Burlington, Ct and Stephen Grant and his wife Patricia of Dobbs Ferry, NY in addition to her beloved nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Sandra Pisani.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grant will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
