Waterbury - Diane M. Nemec age 62 of Waterbury, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness.
Diane was born November 24, 1951 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late James P. and Dorothy (Sullivan) Nemec. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and a member of Saint Francis Xavier Church and spent many years working as an assembler at Eyelet Design and Manufacturing. Diane was a diehard fan of UCONN Women's Basketball.
Among her survivors are her siblings, Richard Nemec and his fiancée Lynn Negaro of Watertown, Sandra Mastrianna and her husband Michael of Naples, FL; Barbara Plourde and her husband Robert of Waterbury; James Nemec and his wife Lori of Waterbury and William Nemec and his wife Colleen of Naugatuck as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Chris at Eyelet Design and Manufacturing for his friendship and assistance over the years.
Funeral services for Ms. Nemec will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury at 9:30am. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Spring Lake Rd Waterbury. Friends and relatives may visit with Diane's family on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00pm at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT.
