THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF DOMENIC CURULLA
OAKVILLE - Domenic Curulla Jr., long time resident of Oakville, passed away on August 11, 2019 at the age of 96. He was the husband of Nancy (Garbatini) Curulla.
Domenic began his eight decades of constant and productive work at the age of 16, honing his skill at Ernie's Autobody and garnering the attention of Ford Motor technicians who visited to view his special techniques. After "retirement," he worked for the Watertown School Department and was a school crossing guard until the age of ninety.
Dominic's quiet demeanor belied his impish humor and keen awareness. He was devoted to his wife and family and participated unselfishly in their lives, taking real enjoyment working on projects with his sons. He was a resourceful handyman and tinkerer who enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish and honor Domenic's love and legacy, besides his devoted wife Nancy of 74 years, are his two sons, Anthony and his wife, Claudette of East Boothbay, Maine and Gary and his wife, Carol of West Hartford; his sister, Mary Major of Wallingford, two grandchildren; Annelle and Nathan, great grandson William, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Domenic's family wishes to acknowledge and offer special thanks to the Nursing Staff of Pomeroy Seven and Vitus Hospice Care for their attentive support.
Funeral services for Mr. Curulla will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 16 Buckingham St., Oakville at 9:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church.
