Ms. Donna Harris

Beloved mother and grandmother  

WATERBURY - Donna R. Harris, 72, of Waterbury CT, entered into eternal rest on August 8, 2024 at St Mary’s Hospital. 

Donna was born in Waterbury on August 11, 1951, daughter of the late Daniel and Ada Rosa. Donna had a close relationship with her parents and three younger brothers. Growing up Donna participated in dance classes including ballet. She was a lifelong animal lover. Donna completed her college education and taught elementary school in Waterbury. She had a positive impact on her students and enjoyed her years in the classroom. She always treasured time and outings with her mother, Aunt Josie, and cousin Janice. Her greatest joy was spending time with her son, daughter-in law, and her grandchildren who she was very proud of. Donna was the type of person that was kind and thoughtful to all she encountered.  

Donna leaves her loving family including, her son Christopher Harris and his wife Amanda, grandchildren, Christopher Jr, William, and Lucille, all of Wolcott. Two nephews, Daniel Rosa, David Rosa Jr, and niece, Deanna Rosa. Cousin & dear friend Janice Colella, and lifelong close friend Barbara Stere. Donna was predeceased by her brothers Daniel, Dean, and David Rosa.

 Funeral services for Donna will be held privately at the convenience of her family. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Bucks Hill especially Donna’s dedicated caregiver Dawn.
