WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness that the family of Donna (Ligi) Luciano, age 72 of Waterbury, share the news of her peaceful passing at The Summit at Plantsville, on Monday,October 07, 2024, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Donna was born on January 18, 1952, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Rolka) Ligi. She and her family moved to Connecticut in 1962. After graduating from Wilby High School, Donna went to work for over 15 years in the banking industry. Donna was an avid bowler, and she loved spending time on the lanes with her family. She found solace in puzzles, enjoyed lively rounds of Trivial Pursuit, delighted in shopping excursions with her daughters, and her passion for classic films, often watching her favorite movie, “Gone with the Wind.”. Music and cooking intertwined seamlessly in her life, as she would joyfully sing along while preparing meals for her loved ones. Her greatest joy, however, came from the time spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was coloring together or sharing stories, time spent with her family provided some of the happiest moments of her life. Her cherished dogs, Mickey and Baby, were constant companions by her side. Donna will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her beloved children, Donna “Donzie” Luciano, Justine Luciano and her fiancé Donald Emanuel, and Anthony Luciano, Alexa Christiano, in addition to Donna’s husband Pasquale Luciano. Donna was blessed with 6 grandchildren; Melissa and fiancé Jason, Matty and fiancé Carlin, Mikey and his wife Colleen, Nico, Gia, and Scarlett and 5 great grandchildren; Layla, Madden, Camden, Camilla, and Jaxson. Donna also leaves her cousin, who was like a sister to her- Melissa Canevari, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Louis J Ligi.
