WATERBURY- Donna J. Stafstrom age 58, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief but courageous and valiant battle with cancer. She was the wife of Eric J. Stafstrom.
Donna was born May 26th 1961 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph N. Dunphy and Maureen (Tracy) Dunphy of Waterbury. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and received her accounting degree from Post University. Donna worked as an accountant for various companies throughout the Waterbury area including General Data Com, Visiting Nurses Association and Carten Controls where she spent the last 20 years. She enjoyed music, traveling and spending time at the casino and always looked forward to sitting on her favorite beach in Cape Cod. Donna was devoted to her family and there was nothing more important to her. She was always willing to help out friends of family in need and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.
Left to cherish her memories and honor her legacy are her husband, Eric of 36 years, her sons; Mike Stafstrom and his wife, Amy of Waterbury and Patrick Stafstrom of Wolcott. She also leaves her mother, Maureen of Waterbury, her sisters, Leanne Dunphy and Janice Mackiewicz both of Waterbury as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Laurie Ravenscroft.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stafstrom will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
