THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF DONOVAN NELSON
WATERBURY - Donovan Nelson, age 22, of Waterbury, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Donovan was born on August 31,1996 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Craig Nelson and Tammy (Skinner) Jones. Donovan attended St. Lucy's and St. Mary's Catholic Grammar Schools and was a graduate of Amity Regional High School, Class of 2014. He was employed at Hamilton Connections and Best Buy. Donovan loved electronics and video games; and was aspiring to be a professional gamer. Donovan was a wonderful big brother, who loved and cared for all of his younger siblings and his two step sisters. He was a loving son, brother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Among his survivors are his mother, Tammy (Skinner) Jones and stepfather, Sir Lawrence Jones, his father, Craig Nelson and stepmother, Samara Nelson, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Delmar) Nelson of Jamaica, West Indies and his maternal grandmother, Cissy Skinner of Waterbury. He will be greatly missed by his three sisters; Savannah Jones, Skylar Jones, Mylah Nelson, and his two brothers, Tristan and Payton Nelson as well as his two step sisters, Katerah Edmondson and Arreiyona Jones. In addition, he also leaves his aunts, Doreen Jacocks, Catina (Gregory) Hofler, Jodi Nelson, and Yesenia Rosado all of Waterbury and his uncles, Mark Nelson of Dallas, Texas, Dario Nelson of Southington, CT, his godmothers, Sheila Azor and Jody Nelson and his godfather, Antwon Wilson who has always been a steady presence in his life and Casandra Jones "NaNa" was also a special part of his life. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, friends, and extended family who will miss him with broken hearts.
Funeral Services for Donovan will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately, at the convenience of his family. Relatives and friends may visit with Donovan's family at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the service at 1:00.
