WATERBURY CT. Mrs. Doris Genevieve (Tetrault) Collins, age 95, formerly of Savings St. Waterbury. died peacefully Monday April 11th at the Village Green of Waterbury after an extended illness. She was the widow of Daniel Collins Sr.
Mrs. Collins was born April 30th 1915 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of the late John and Angelina (Lawlor) Tetrault. She was a graduate of Saint Ann's School and was a loving mother and dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and baking especially with granddaughter Carolyn. She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed listening to the sporting events on the radio, especially horse racing, baseball, and football.
Among her survivors are her son, Daniel "Mike" Collins of Waterbury, her brother Robert Tetrault of Waterbury as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her son, Robert Collins, her brother Joseph Tetrault, and her sisters Muriel Zehnder and Blanche Robinson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Collins will be held Thursday, April 14th at 10:00a.m. at the Casey O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
