WATERBURY - Dorothy M. Baker, age 91 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Glendale Heath Care Center in Naugatuck surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness. She was the widow of George Baker.

Mrs. Baker was born April 14th 1925 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Enos and Nora (Connors) Kelly. Dorothy was a loving and dedicated homemaker who was devoted to her family. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Florida and Cape Cod with her twin sister, Mary Watts.

Among her survivors are her sons; George Baker and his wife, Annie, Frederick Baker and her daughter in law, Marilyn Baker and her grandson, Adam all of Waterbury. She was predeceased by her son, Jody, her twin sister, Mary Watts and her brother, Ernest.

The Baker family would like to thank and acknowledge all of the nurses, aides, and staff at Glendale Health Care Center for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Dorothy and all of her family during her stay.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Dorothy's family at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury on Wednesday evening, September 7, 2016 from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Jody Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Sacred Heart School 142 South Elm St Waterbury, CT 06706.
