Loving mother, sister and grandmother
TORRINGTON, CT – Dorothy Caterino age 92, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at The Valerie Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a long illness. She was the widow of Vincent Caterino.
Dorothy was born January 18th, 1932, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Skirkanich) Sheehan. She was educated in local schools and spent many years working as an executive secretary for Timex Manufacturing. Dorothy was a long-time Bethlehem resident who enjoyed tending to her garden, baking for her family, and always enjoyed looking for a great deal while out shopping. She was a parishioner of The Church of The Nativity in Bethlehem and spent many years volunteering with the Abbey of the Regina Laudis in Bethlehem.
Left to cherish her memory and legacy are her children; Vincent Caterino Jr of Watertown, Mark Caterino and his wife Alaine of Prospect, Joyce Dorazio and her husband Ron of MA, Diane DeJoseph of IL. and Gayle Davies of NV. She also leaves her 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends. She is pre-deceased by her grandson, David DeJoseph, and her 2 brothers, Eugene and Francis Sheehan.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Caterino will be held privately and at the convenience of her family in Bethlehem Cemetery.
