WATERBURY CT - Edmund Napier, age 92 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Friday August 28, 2015 at the Village of East Farms in Waterbury. he was predeceased by his devoted wife Margaret Napier who passed away in 2007 after 55 years of marriage.
Edmund was born on November 23, 1922 in Westfield, MA the son of the late Alexander and Katarzyna (Katherine) Napierkoska. Edmund proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy stationed in San Diego CA. He was employed at Pratt and Whitney as an Engineer and retired in 1983 after many years of service and was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Edmund was an avid swimmer and enjoyed spending time with his loving family at the beach and enjoyed fishing. He was also an avid handyman and he enjoyed spending time working around the house fixing or improving just about anything that needed repairs.
Edmund is survived by his two sons, James Napier and his wife, Marie of Sylvester GA, and William Napier and his wife, Gretchen of Waterbury, and his daughter Nancy Gambini of Waterbury. He also leaves his two grandchildren, Sarah Napier and Alexander Gambini a niece and several nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Victoria Nadeau, Helen McDermott and Mary Kazalunas.
Funeral services for Mr. Napier will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at EASTSIDE MEMORIAL "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center," 1987 East Main St.@ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown with full military honors.
