AT THE CASEY - O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME ?" Eduardo R. Gonzalez age 82, of Wilson Dr. Watertown died early Monday morning at his home, with his entire family at his side, after a brief illness.
Mr. Gonzalez was born in Utuado Puerto Rico on June 28, 1927, a son of the late Emiliano and Gonzalez. He moved to Riverside California at an early age and spent 59 years there before joining his son and his family in Watertown four years ago. He was a veteran of the US Army, having proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. Although his time in Watertown was brief, he spent his remaining years in the midst of his family who loved him and cared for him especially during his final days.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by three sons; Doane of Oregon, Emiliano and his wife Elizabeth with whom he lived in Watertown and Steven, also of Watertown. He also leaves a daughter, Lydia Gonzalez of Riverside CA and 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Gonzalez will be held on Friday November 27th at 12 noon at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. Burial with full military honors will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may visit the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00am until the service begins at noon.
