Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather
WATERBURY - Edward J Saks Jr, age 74 of Waterbury CT, passed away at Saint Mary's Hospital on January 30th 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Wania L. (Rodrigues) Saks.
Edward was born on November 24, 1946, in Bridgeport Connecticut, the son of late Edward Saks Sr. and Josephine (Cotter) Saks. Edward was raised in the Bridgeport area and then moved to Brookfield Connecticut and attended Post College in Waterbury. Edward proudly served his country in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Veterans Wartime Service Medal in 2009. He was employed by General DataComm, Inc. for many years, then became a Contractor and worked as an Electronics Inspector. Edward enjoyed horse races, and playing golf with his friends and family. Spending time with his grandchildren brought Edward the greatest joy. Edward will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor Edward's love and legacy, besides his wife of 23 years, Wania are, his brother Ken Saks, his daughters; Laura (Saks) Jacob, WA, Herica Rodrigues of Netherlands, Jucielle Santos and Priscila de Souza, Edward was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Eduarda, Luis, Anayah, Ayanah, Emannuely, Eduardo, Aliyah and Anthony.
The funeral services for Mr. Saks will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
