AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Edward S. Sciongay Jr. age 60 of Bassett Road, Watertown died unexpectedly February 20, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Carol (Santoro) Sciongay.
Edward was born April 18, 1950 in Derby, a son of Harriet (Fritz) and the late Edward S. Sciongay Sr. and lived in Watertown for the past 25 years. Prior to his retirement Edward was employed as a Machinist and toolmaker at Winchester Electronics. He had also worked as a general manager at Sikorsky Aircraft, was employed as a Master Machinist at Bic Pen and began his career as a toolmaker and machinist at Shelton Manufacturing where he worked for many years with his late father. He was an avid auto-racing enthusiast and enjoyed landscaping and gardening.
Besides his wife of thirty years of Watertown and mother of Westbrook, he leaves a daughter Christina M. Sciongay of Watertown, three sisters Shirley, Jean and Joan and several nieces and nephews.
