PROSPECT - Mr. Edward J. Wagner, age 55, of Summit Rd. Prospect, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Edward was the husband of Elissa (Forcucci) Wagner.
Ed was born April 13, 1957 in Waterbury CT, the son of Truman and Patricia (Summa) Wagner. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and worked at Marjan Inc. as the General Manager for over 35 years. He was a sports enthusiast and was an avid fan of the Yankees, Giants, and Huskies. He was also a skilled woodworker and loved to garden and golf. Ed always seemed happiest while spending time at his beach home in Topsail Island, NC along with his family and trusted companion "Buddy."
Besides his parents and his wife Lisa of 39 years, Ed is survived by his children, Edward Wagner Jr. of Waterbury, Kristen Wagner of New Haven, his sisters, Pauline Weir of FL, Pamela Kight of MA, his mother in-law, Ina Forcucci of Prospect, his sister in-law, Karen and her husband Mark Southard, his two brothers in law, Joe Forcucci and Paul Forcucci and his wife Maria, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Wagner will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 with the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 56 Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Committal services will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
