WATERBURY- Edward P. Zuraitis, age 63 of Waterbury passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, August 13, 2021 after a long but courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Donna (Carnright) Zuraitis.
Ed was born on November 11, 1957 in Waterbury the son of the late Edward Sr and Rosemary (Moran) Zuraitis. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and worked for many years as an eyelet toolmaker at Click Bond Mfg. Ed enjoyed boating with the family, was an avid hunter and fisherman but most of all he was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather which during these last few years brought great joy and light into his life. He was a parishioner of SS Peter and Paul Church and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his loving wife, Donna are his sons; Jared and Tyler Zuraitis of Waterbury and his granddaughter, Amelia Rose. He also leaves his siblings; Cheryl Werner of RI, James Zuraitis of IL, Susan Burton of Bantam, John Zuraitis of Waterbury and Karen Quadrato of Southington as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was very close to his faithful, four legged, constant companion, "Bella" who passed away this past March.
Funeral services for Mr. Zuraitis will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury at 11:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly requested to go directly to the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Ed's family on Tuesday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. We remain concerned about the pandemic, consequently masks will be required at all times while indoors.
