WATERBURY - Ms. Eileen P. Foley, age 99 of Waterbury CT died peacefully at Meridian Manor Health Care on Sunday, November 20, 2011 after an extended illness.
Eileen was born, January 05, 1912 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of the late James and Lucy (Wallace) Foley. She attended Saint Mary's Grammar School and graduated from Wilby High School. Eileen worked as a Secretary at Scovill Manufacturing for 35 years before her retirement. She was a parishioner of Saints Peter & Paul's church and had a very strong religious faith, she was very active within her parish where she was a member of the Madonna Guild. She also enjoyed traveling and crafting especially crocheting. Eileen was also a former member of the Mattatuck Senior Center.
Eileen is survived by her niece, Eileen Snyder of Wolcott, her great nieces and great nephews; Carol Fonseca of Naugatuck, Earl Snyder of Waterbury, Dianne Richmond of Eustis Fl. and William Snyder of Prospect, her sister is law Mrs. Eileen Foley, of Chatham Ma; her nieces Mary Emons of Orchard Park NY, and Patricia Conaghan of Thomaston, her nephew James Foley of Bethany as well as many other great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Patrick J. Foley and James W. Foley, her sisters Lucy Stack and Mary Robinson her Nephew Father William Stack and her niece Kathy Barlow
A private graveside funeral service for Ms. Foley will be held at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
