Lived a full and beautiful life

OAKVILLE - Eileen Thomson, 104, passed away peacefully at Apple Rehab of Watertown on April 5, 2022 and has now joined her beloved husband to whom she was married to for 52 wonderful years, John Thomson Sr.

Eileen was born on July 11, 1917 in Astoria, New York, the daughter of the late Oscar and Loretta (Ebzery) Evald. She attended local schools, and then met her husband, John. They were married in 1940, and in 1968 they moved to Oakville to raise their family together. Eileen was a homemaker until her children had finished school and then she went onto work as a recreation director in a local nursing home. She was also a Mary Kay beauty consultant. Being apart of the Saint Mary Magdalen Parish was very import to Eileen, she was a past eucharist minister there along with attending all of the activities and being apart of different groups the church offered. What was most important to Eileen was her family and spending quality time with them. Happily, Eileen lived her life to the fullest, blessed by her faith, family and friends. Her life was a living example of Matthew 25:21 "well done my good and faithful servant".
