Devoted, dedicated registered nurse for 50 years
WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness that the family of Elaine M. (Loughran) Weeden, age 83, share the news of her peaceful passing on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 in the comfort of her home.She was the beloved wife of Donald Weeden.
Elaine was born on February 13th, 1942, in Melrose, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Edward Loughran and Anne (Deveikis) Loughran. Elaine graduated from the Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She was a devoted and dedicated nurse for 50 years in geriatric care and mental health. She also worked as a home healthcare nurse in Keene, NH for many years. She enjoyed traveling, movies, shopping, watching the Olympics especially figure skating, and watching cooking shows. She loved nothing more than spending time with her loving family and giving gifts to her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love her.
Besides her husband of 40 years, Donald, left to cherish her memory are her children; Gina Breen and her husband, Larry of Plantsville and Steven Munichiello and his wife, Erin of Franklin, MA,her daughter-in-law, Chantel Munichiello of Alpharetta GA, and her two beautiful sisters Joan & Kathy. Donald and Elaine were blessed with 7 wonderful grandchildren; Hayden, Kollin, Ally, Faith,Jack, Claire and Owen. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Edward Munichiello and her beloved sister, Rosemary.
All services for Mrs. Weeden will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
