Loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother
MIDDLEBURY - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Carlotto, age 89, of Middlebury announce her peaceful passing in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born on June 19, 1934, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Halter) Kruse. Betty was happiest listening to Elvis, watching golf, working in her daughter’s garden, snuggling with her three favorite fur babies: Buttons Marie, Laycee Grace, and Holly Noel, or celebrating holidays with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Betty will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate to know and love her.
Left to honor her memory and legacy are her daughter, Donna (Carlotto) Calabro and her husband Steve of Middlebury and her son, Aldo Carlotto Jr of Oakville. She also leaves her ex-husband Aldo Carlotto Sr., her step-daughter, Jackie Carangelo and her grandsons; Jimmy Baranoski and wife Gabby, Michael Baranoski and his wife Angie, and Mathew Calabro and his wife Jen; her granddaughters, Amanda Calabro, Alyssa Carlotto, and Morgan Carlotto; and her great-grandchildren, Madison Baranoski, Teddy Calabro, and Jamie Calabro. Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Augelli of Waterbury, CT.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carlotto will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Peace mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with the Carlotto family on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m until the service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. To honor Betty’s memory, donations to the ASPCA www.aspca.org would be greatly appreciated by her family.
