BREWSTER NY - Elizabeth M. Frezza, age 94, formerly of Oakville CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 5, 2016, surrounded by the love and support of her daughter at the Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster after an extended illness. She was the widow of Louis Frezza.
Mrs. Frezza was born on February 20, 1922 In New York NY the daughter of the late Dominick and Vincenza (Finochio) Marinaro. She was raised in Staten Island NY and graduated from Lexington School for the Deaf in New York City. She worked for many years as an assembler at Timex Mfg. retiring in the 1980's. Elizabeth lived most of her life in Oakville and the surrounding area, joining her daughter in Brewster in her final years. She enjoyed word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and crocheting
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Linda Bardelli of Brewster NY with whom she made her home, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Barbieri.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frezza will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St Oakville CT. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Elizabeth's family on Wednesday evening from 4:00 till 7:00 at the funeral home.
