WATERBURY: Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Geigle, age 84, formerly of Arline Dr. Waterbury, passed away peacefully on July 13th 2012.
Betty was born November 9th 1927 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late William A. and Marguerite (Doyle) McKenna. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and was a life long Waterbury resident. She worked as an Accounting Representative at Waterbury Hospital for many years before her retirement and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandsons Josh and Jereme, whom she helped raise. She was a parishioner of St Leo the Great Church.
Among her survivors are her two grandsons; Joshua Gee of Waterbury and Jereme Gee of Goshen, her sister, Marguerite Moran, of Waterbury, as well as her niece Maureen, and nephew John. She is pre-deceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Gee formerly of Litchfield, her brother, Robert McKenna and her sister, Maureen Corcoran. In grateful appreciation for the care provided to Betty and her family, donations may be made to VNA Health Care Inc. 50 Brookside Rd Waterbury, CT 06704.
Funeral services for Mrs. Geigle will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at 10:30a.m.at Saint Leo the Great Church 14 Bentwood Drive Waterbury to Celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow in New Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Waterbury. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. There are no calling hours.
