ELIZABETH (TAUTKOS) HASTINGS
WOLCOTT- Mrs. Elizabeth (Tautkos) Hastings age 77 of Meriden , formerly of Wolcott died Sunday evening in Middlefield. She was the wife of William Hastings.
Elizabeth was born April 9, 1931 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Pekock) Tautkos and lived in Wolcott most of her life where she raised her family having recently moved to Meriden to be closer to her family. She was educated in Waterbury Schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a keypunch operator at Waterbury Hospital . Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and playing cards with friends.
Besides her husband of 52 years, she leaves a son Robert Hastings of Middlefield, a daughter Laura Hastings of Middlefield, a brother Joe Tautkos of Maine , a sister Evelyn Riley of FL., six grandchildren Gary and Aimee Gelinas, Benjamin, Colin and Rachel Plant, and Andrew Hastings and two great grandchildren Zachary Daunis and Zayden Gelinas. She was predeceased by a daughter Mary Hastings a brother Edward Tautkos and a sister Della Aitcheson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 23 at 10 a.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville . Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery .
